Breezing By… Champ Potatoes

I just got back from the Gym. Yes! No holiday week will keep me away. I feel awesome every time I spend an hour and a half there. It rocks. 🙂

I went out to eat at an Irish Pub and Grill. I haven’t tried a restaurant that only serves Irish food. They had lots of Corn Beef on the menu which was something I wasn’t about to experiment with at the time. The first thing I did when I walked in the building was smell the aroma. It made me want some homemade stew or a roast. When I looked at the menu I saw that they only had Lamb stew. So, I ended up getting a really elegant dish with half of a chicken.

The chicken had some diced olives, tomatoes and shamrock sauce over it which was like a really nice and creamy gravy. My side dishes were champ potatoes, steamed carrots and peas. I’ve never been a pea fan but I eat them for their nutrients. The chicken had a wonderful flavor but I have to admit, my favorite part of the whole plate was those awesome flavored mashed potatoes. There was no gravy but it  didn’t need gravy when I had the Shamrock sauce with the Chicken.

After dinner, we went to go see End of Days. It wasn’t too bad of a movie. I liked the fast paced action with Arnold Schwarzenegger being the hero and good guy. Gabriel Byrne was a good villiain in the movie, but ultra violent. Other than that, it was a good thriller.

Until next time!
