When asked what keeps gamer girls coming back each time it was interesting to learn that it was generally due to the ‘people’ they have met. This may be another unsubstantiated generalization (why should I let that stop me this time?), but it seems that the social aspect of building relationships is more important in the female community than among males. I know plenty of guys who are happy going onto a pickup server, dealing some death, then changing servers to kill more strangers all in search of a good ‘ping’ not caring that they always play against new people. I’ve also never heard a woman arguing the merits of the calculation method and rankings on CLQ. (By the way, the CLQ rankings are severely skewed to favor people who simply play a lot of hours.)
