iGames announced plans to support GT Interactive Inc.’s two highly anticipated titles, Unreal Tournament and The Wheel of Time, both of which shipped this month. The events will take place during the month of December at select iGames associated entertainment centers in both the United States and Canada, with the Unreal Tournament event scheduled for December 11 and The Wheel of Time event on December 18.
Each event will have a specific theme and activities tailored to the style of the game. To take advantage of the excellent multiplayer aspect of Unreal Tournament, participants will be given a mission briefing that includes game tips, tricks, and strategies, before being set loose in multiplayer battles between store locations. There will also be team battles of Capture the Flag between stores, with the winning teams competing for the North American championship.
