Kate Winslet, known for the Titanic film, is in final negotiations to voice an ambitious BBC natural history drama about a family of lions. “Pride” is a co-production with A&E Networks in association with Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1, is scheduled to air during the Summer. Winslet will provide the voice-over for Suki, a rebellious young lioness. Other cast members include Sean Bean, who plays Dark, Suki’s suitor, and Helen Mirren as Macheeba, the family matriarch. The family-oriented live-action drama follows the adventures of a real-life pride of African lions and their struggle to survive on the African plains.
