A Good Woman

Helen Hunt and Scarlett Johansson star in a romantic comedy based on Oscar Wilde’s Lady Windermere’s Fan.

Here’s a clip from SFGate.

“There’s nothing to dislike about this movie. The worst that can be said is that Helen Hunt is cast as a lifelong man-eater, which is a stretch and feels like one. By contrast, Scarlett Johansson is cast as a virtuous young thing, which is also a stretch but doesn’t feel like one. And Tom Wilkinson, Great Britain’s answer to the late J.T. Walsh (always good, always different and can do anything), gives a warm, witty performance as an epicurean British lord. Yet something is wrong with “A Good Woman”: The lightning never strikes. It’s never quite alive. ”
