PJs & Neck Warmers

With the recent prunings happening all around me, companies letting people go, I thought for certain my trip to the mall this weekend would be less busy. Boy was I wrong! Rain and shoppers at the mall do not mix at all. I recall Houston being bad when I lived there a few years, San Diego was normally bad, but San Francisco drivers make it much more gruesome because they do some amazing ROAD RAGE IN THE RAIN! I had a few times where people came inches close to hitting my truck when it was my right away turning right and they were turning left into where I was going! I kid you not.

Although I found four pairs of adorable pajamas at Ross and Macy’s to keep me warm over the next few months, I had a mission to find neck warmers called Dickeys. Silly name… but they are considered an old school neck warmer. After asking four different places if they had them and even calling around to a few other places, dickeys are currently not being sold anywhere. One of the Nordstrom reps said she knew what I was talking about. She told me that it was a trend they brought back about 2 years ago. She hasn’t seen any since 2006…… people, seriously? The only reason why you don’t have a sensible neck warmer is because it’s not in style? *sigh*

I ended up doing some searches online. Ebay had tons of them and the only business that had a good enough selection was a place called The Vermont Country store. I ended up buying one there to see if it is something I want.

Oh and those Pajamas, they are way too cute to explain. One of them is like a football outfit that says tackle me on the shirt and pants, another has kitties on it (purr) and the other two are plaid and cozy. I was going to post a video of the PJs on youtube, but figured they are kind of personal, aren’t they? haha.

Speaking of plaid, I ran into a plaid designed item that I wanted to get for a friend. The only problem, the site had 6 different plaid designs and I didn’t know what type to get because there were no pictures of the other plaid designs. I never really associated the designs with scottish or irish, even though I kind of knew that they represented the kilts. While searching for what some of these plaid designs look like I stumbled upon this super cool website called thescottishweaver.com. Definitely need to save up to buy some things on this site. I really like the modern plaid designs, but the ancient plaid designs are just as amazing. To be honest, viewing these designs just remind me of the rich history of the culture and now I am curious about what my ancestors wore.

You know, that site has too many plaid designs to choose from! I think I need to talk to my mom. Hrm, now I’m having a craving to check out some hot scottish guys in kilts. Ahh, the single life isn’t half bad after all. lol
